Mateos Meko

Legal

Terms

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Before launch: these plain-language terms describe how engagements normally run. Have them reviewed by a lawyer. A signed project agreement always takes precedence.

1. Scope of these terms

They govern use of this website and describe the default terms of an engagement with Mateos Meko, Senefelderstraße 1A, Würzburg. Where an individual written agreement exists, that agreement applies.

2. Using this website

Content is provided for information. Published package prices are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer, and no client relationship exists until a written scope is confirmed by both sides. Reasonable effort goes into accuracy and availability, but neither is guaranteed.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are gross and quoted in euros: the published figure is the final amount payable, including VAT where applicable. No VAT is added on top.
  • Packages: half on booking, half on delivery. CUSTOM projects are invoiced across agreed milestones.
  • Payment term is 14 days from invoice date, by bank transfer.
  • Care plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
  • Third-party costs — domains, hosting beyond a care plan, stock images, paid fonts, external APIs — are passed on at cost and agreed in advance.

4. Scope, revisions and delivery

  • Work begins from a written scope stating deliverables, price, revision rounds and delivery window.
  • Each package includes the revision rounds listed on the pricing page. Further rounds are available as an add-on.
  • Delivery windows start once I have your content, and pause while work sits with you for review.
  • Changes beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately before being carried out.

5. Your responsibilities

Timely delivery of texts, images, logos and access credentials, and a single person who can approve work. Where you supply content, you confirm you hold the necessary rights to it. Delays on your side move the delivery date.

6. Ownership and licences

On full payment, rights to the custom design and code created for you transfer to you. Pre-existing libraries, frameworks and open-source components remain under their own licences. I retain the right to reuse generic, non-confidential techniques and components. Until final payment, delivered work is licensed for review only.

7. Confidentiality and portfolio use

Your business information and data stay confidential indefinitely, whether or not a separate NDA exists. I may describe the work in general terms; your name, logo and screenshots are published only with your permission.

8. Warranty and fixes

Delivered work is warranted to match the agreed scope. Defects reported within 30 days of delivery are fixed at no charge. Outside that: changes in third-party services, new requirements, modifications made by you or others, and content changes are chargeable.

9. Liability

Liability is unlimited for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health, as required by German law. Otherwise liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract and capped at the fees paid for the affected engagement. Liability for indirect and consequential loss, including lost profit and data loss where no adequate backup existed, is excluded.

10. Termination

Either side may end an ongoing engagement with 14 days' written notice. Work completed and costs committed up to that point are invoiced. Fixed-price projects cancelled part-way are invoiced pro rata for work delivered.

11. Governing law

German law applies. Place of performance and jurisdiction is Würzburg, to the extent legally permitted. Mandatory consumer protection provisions remain unaffected.
