Privacy policy

Before launch: this text describes how the site actually behaves, but the bracketed fields (hosting provider, form provider, retention periods) must be completed and a lawyer should review it.

2. What this site collects by default
No cookies are set and no analytics load when you arrive. There are no third-party fonts and no advertising trackers. Your browser does fetch one JavaScript library (three.js) from a content delivery network to render the cube on the home page, which exposes your IP address to that provider. The site works fully with JavaScript disabled.
3. Server logs
The hosting provider records standard access logs: IP address, timestamp, requested page, referrer and browser identification. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention: [number] days.
4. Analytics, only with consent
If you select "Allow analytics", a cookieless analytics script (Plausible, EU-hosted) loads and records aggregate page views. No cookies are set, no cross-site profile is built and no personal data is stored. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, withdrawable at any time via cookie settings. If you decline, nothing loads and the choice is remembered on your device.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are respected: if your browser sends one, the banner does not appear and analytics never load.
5. Contact form
The form transmits your name, email address, optional phone number, selected package and message to a form-handling provider, which forwards it to me by email. Legal basis: pre-contractual and contractual purposes, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Retention: for as long as the enquiry is live, and thereafter for the periods required by German commercial and tax law where a contract follows.
You can always contact me directly by email or phone instead of using the form.
6. Local storage
One entry, mm-consent, records your analytics choice. It is not a cookie, is never transmitted, and can be cleared in your browser at any time.

8. Client projects
If you become a client, I process the data needed to deliver the project: contact details, billing information, and any access credentials or content you provide. That data is used only for the project, is not shared beyond the processors named in the project agreement, and is deleted or returned on request once statutory retention periods allow.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Bavaria, the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht.
